This is the tricky part. E.g., if you consider an enigma2 STB and the settings for Unicable/Jess mode. While switching off “DiSEqC” at the settings means only the STB is not sending and or keeping any “DiSEqC” status while receiving the signal (in case of this is active at all while in Unicable mode). Unicable/Jess is still using the physical layer, DiSEqC mode respectively to transmit the information, like the sat position, TP frequency polarisation, requesting UB, etc. The information which satellite to address for the enigma2 STB is related to the chosen LNB -> e.g. “LNB1” means position “Sat A”.
In the standard configuration the 5294 is Sat position agnostic (default setting “Sat A/B/C/D”). Whatever you send or not send in regards of the satellite position it will address always the “same” satellite. Having only one LNB connected it does not matter at all, moreover, it fits to Skys business model that you should receive anyway only their satellite (-> one satellite).
Since we do not have a Sky Q receiver from Italy we neither cannot test nor tell you what control signals are being sent from this receiver. If everything is going according your desires the receiver is sending/requesting always a satellite position with. E.g., "SAT A". You have to try to find it out. May be you can take the 5278 LNB, programming the concerned sky UB's and configure it for sat position "D"?
