Domanda interessante.

Interesting question.
In the old days, just after Unicable began, I have read about setups like this (diseqc 1.0 plus Unicable/JESS/dCSS) that functioned OK. But that was more luck, than intended, I believe.
Of course it depends on whether the receiver and TV can support both 'command sets' at the same time. I'm not sure if that would normally be the case.
The thing is: Unicable/JESS has its own protokol to switch between LNBs, I believe. So if your receiver/TV allows you to chose LNBs, when it is in Unicable/JESS/dCSS mode, I don't know what switching protokol command is sent. It would be my guess, that when using Unicable/JESS/dCSS commands in modern equipment, the diseqc 1.0 protokol is disabled. But I'm no expert on this, I would be interested to read if that is indeed the case!
Normally, for Unicable/JESS/dCSS, you'd need a second LNB that is programmed to respond to the 'second LNB' command. When using two Unicable LNBs that way, you'd have all the advantages of independent reception of multiple channels, from both LNBs. With your proposed setup, you'd only have access to one satellte at a time.
So I'm not sure if you indeed want to receive+record multiple programs at the same time with your receiver? And/or what is the reason that you don't want to use 'normal' (old school, legacy) LNBs?
About possible damage: when you use splitters with diodes in them, there is no danger. Using splitters without diodes: there is danger.
So with the correct splitter(s), you can test your setup yourself, without the risk of damage. (When disconnecting or connecting antenna cables, always be aware of possible shortcircuits! So you can disconnect the power supplies, as a precaution.)
Another issue could be, that your TV does not supply enough power for the LNBs+switch. Did you have your setup already working, without the switch?
As I've never had a Unicable setup myself, I'll read other expertise with interest.
