in seguito alle polemiche e proteste degli utenti sulla "fuga di firmware" prima che venissero ufficializzati sul sito Azbox e sulle attese, a dire di qualcuno eccessive :eusa_wall:, tra un firmware e l'altro, Opensat ha deciso di rendere disponibile agli user tutti i firmware in fase di test anche quando non sono stati ancora approvati dalla casa madre

questo consentirà a ognuno di fare da beta tester volontario e di riferire prontamente eventuali nuovi bug in modo che non vengano poi riportati nelle versioni ufficiali

ovviamente l'installazione di questi firmware avviene a rischio e pericolo dell'user che intende avvalersene

i firmware si scaricano da http : //fw.azupd.com/, attualmente è disponibile il 0.9.3886

Stop al progetto Daily

Since 23.11.2009 we've been releasing the Daily Firmware releases. The purpose was to give every user the opportunity to use the daily builds. In fact, many, many users have been using them, creating amazing amounts of feedback. So, in that aspect, the Daily project was a complete success. But, in practical terms, with the speed in which those releases are being made, we don't have enough time to analyze and test the feedback our users create after testing it. This creates a bigger problem, because we don't have time enough to send the developers any bug reports, and even when we do, they are already outdated. When we can't test and improve our firmware based on those tests and the user feedback, we waste time and efforts.

So, from today on, we are closing the Daily Project.

Instead, all the Firmware releases are from now on made with a periodicity of 2 or 3 releases per week. Hopefully that will give everyone involved time enough to test and provide feedback on the releases. From now on, it's allowed and expected for the users of this forum to report all the Bugs on the respective sections.

da oggi dunque il Daily Project è chiuso
d'ora in poi solo release ufficiali con una frequenza di 2-3 per settimana, scaricabili sempre al solito indirizzo

commento: 2-3 release a settimana, con lo staff limitato di Opensat, è pressoché impossibile, così come è impossibile con questa frequenza fare uscire firmware stabili senza che si presentino bug sempre nuovi

aspettiamoci dunque ancora per un po' firmware non del tutto stabili e per molti aspetti non del tutto soddisfacenti

quanto al blind scan su Elite e Premium, mettiamoci una pietra sopra, questi tentativi sono patetici, che lavorino sul modello Plus visto che, nonostante il tuner sia ok per il bs, a causa di limitazioni software per ora non funziona a dovere neppure lì


a questo punto direi anche di modificare il titolo di questo 3d chiamandolo semplicemente "nuovi firmware"
