E' in circolazione a partire dalla tarda giornata di lunedì una nuova e-mail truffa apparentemente firmata dalla Croce Rossa americana, la quale invita la malcapitata vittima ad effettuare una donazione per le vittime del recente conflitto in Medio Oriente tra Libano ed Israele.
L'e-mail rappresenta l’ennesimo tentativo degli sciacalli del web di lucrare sulle disgrazie altrui, basti ricordare solo alcuni degli ultimi avvenimenti che li hanno visto protagonisti: l’Uragano Katrina che devastò la città di New Orleans e lo Tsunami del dicembre 2004 che ha riguardato l’intero sud-est asiatico con oltre 250.000 vittime.

Hurricane Katrina set off the largest, most costly disaster relief operation in the nation's history. Earlier this year the American Red Cross announced that current financial donations and pledges will cover the estimated $2.116 billion cost for its response to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. If you wish to support the ongoing needs of
these hurricane survivors, www.usafreedomcorps.gov offers a list of other charities and non-profit organizations that continue to raise funds for these hurricane relief efforts.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency and all Red Cross disaster assistance is free thanks to the generosity of people like you.
The value of your donation is increased by the fact that the ratio of volunteer Red Cross workers to paid staff is almost 36 to one.
Contributions to the American Red Cross, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes.
