Collegamento clarke tech 6600 ad una rete lan

Buongiorno, mi rivolgo a qualsiasi persona che sia in grado di dare una risposta al mio quesito.
Ho creato una rete lan privata con wd livewire che sarebbero due apparecchi che collegati alla rete elettrica creano attraverso ad essa una linea lan. Ho collegato uno di questi scatolotti da una parte alla ethernet del mio pc immettendo i dati di rete indirizzo ip 192.168.1.39 -subnet mask 255.255.255.000 gateway 192.168.1.1 e l'altro in dotazione alla presa ethernet di un lettore multimediale medley immettendo indirizzo ip 192.168.1.40 -subnet mask 255.255.255.000 gateway 192.168.1.1 ed il lettore si collega al mio pc regolarmente, permettendomi di vedere le cartelle condivise sul mio pc. Ho immesso i settaggi indirizzo ip 192.168.1.38 -subnet mask 255.255.255.000 gateway 192.168.1.1 per il cth 6600 eseguo il ping e mi dice che c'è collegamento fra pc e cth 6600, ma quando immetto tramite tasto blu del telecomando l'indirizzo ip del mio pc 192.168.1.39 non mi aggancia al mio pc dicendomi connection failed. Premetto che non uso un router per collegare i due apparecchi, questa è solo una rete tra pc e cth 6600. Un amico mi ha suggerito che forse è perchè il cth non funziona da server, mentre il medley ha questa funzione al suo interno. Per far funzionare il collegamento dovrei perciò attaccare un router al cth 6600 per far fare al router la funzione di server. Non so come risolverla

I experienced the same type of problems with a new Clarke-tech 6600 Plus (CT6600) when trying to connect it to my PC via two dLAN (PowerLAN) adapters. I am not using a hub, switch or router - i.e. my PC is directly connected to one of the two dLAN adapters and the CT6600 is directly connected to the second adapter. I kept receiving "Connection failed" messages until I downloaded and installed Clarke-tech's 'STBDaemon' software (http://www.clarke-tech.com/infocenter/downloads?template=detail&entryid=48&lang=) on my PC.

After downloading the software, I extracted its contents and saved the extracted folders and files on a new directory on my PC. When extracting the contents with 7-Zip, an error message relating to one of the extracted files (sqlite3.dll) was generated - I just ignored that error message. Double-clicking the extracted STBDaemon_303.exe file generated a Windows Vista firewall warning - I chose to unblock the application in response to the warning. The STBDaemon then prompts one to define a 'Sharing folder' - I selected the appropriate folder on my PC by means of the 'Browse' button. Note that the 'Sharing folder' is the folder that will, together with its sub-folders, become visible on the CT6600. When clicking on the STBDaemon's OK button, an error message relating to the serverd.exe application appeared - again, I ignored that error message.

I then attempted to connect the CT6600 and my PC by selecting the DHCP connection option on both machines. That did not work. I then defined the IP settings manually, using practically the same values as you did (PC: IP 192.168.001.039, subnet 255.255.255.000, gateway 192.168.001.001; CT6600: IP 192.168.001.040, subnet 255.255.255.000, gateway 192.168.001.001). After selecting the CT6600's File Manager via the machine's remote control, I used the yellow button to "create" my PC disk, inputting the PC's IP address (192.168.001.039). After clicking on OK, the contents of the 'Sharing folder' immediately showed on the CT6600. I then succeeded to copy files, in both directions, between my PC and the external USB device connected to the CT6600, using the CT6600's remote control. Conversely, it is not possible to see the CT6600, or to manage files between the two machines from my PC.
