Ciao a tutti,

Sorry for the English but my Italian is still too poor.
A friend of mine near Athens/Greece tried this cable: Fracarro PAS4102 as you can see in their catalogue http://www.fracarro.com/NR/rdonlyres/A22F1294-7BA5-4EA5-A502-330BE351F32F/0/Cavi_05.pdf on page 5 and is fascinated how good it is. Ok, 2cm are quite thick and 9.60€/m is also not cheap but he could improve signal on some frequencies that were on the limit of reception on his Gibertini OP125. He only has 15m cable but even there the difference was obvious. 10dB/100m loss @2150MHz is very impressive indeed.

Is anybody here that tried this particular cable or a similar one ?

Tanti saluti di Stoccarda :)

Unless your friend has a damaged receiver or a very poor cable (i.e. very small/old) there is no real advantage replacing 15 meters of good standard cable with a bulky (and expensive) low loss line.
The LNB (on the dish) has a N/F, and anything that's below its minimal threshold can't be received, even by the most professional receiver. Moreover, the LNB has a big gain (more than 50dB) which largely exceeds the loss of a good standard cable of such a lenght.
Of course, using a lower loss cable the signals will be bigger ad the receiver, but also the noise from the LNB will be bigger and the extra reception an illusion.
To summarize, your friend won't get any advantage by cable, he should replace his dish with a larger one, or his LNB with a better one.;)

Sorry for my late answer. Well, that was what i also thought but it seemed to help. Maybe it was by chance since some frequencies vary in signal quality depending on the weather, especially if we speak of Eurobird 1 Fixed beam on 125cm in Athens which is too small. A 150cm of course is better but dishes cannot be changed such easily. The cable and the LNB he used before were ok. Thanks for the interest anyway.
