Non mi funziona la RS232 sull'HD7100TS

HD7100TS - Channel Loader for HD - cavo RS232

Tanto per cominciare un saluto a tutti!
Sono un neofita in cerca di aiuto.
Ho scaricato dal sito Vantage il programma Channel-Loader v03.01, ho collegato il computer al decoder tramite cavo RS232 null modem ed ho settato la COM1 sul programma.
Premendo "Load database from STB to PC" dopo un pò il programma va in "Comunication timeout".
Il cavo è ok perchè testato con altre applicazioni; non dovrebbe essere il computer perchè ho fatto la prova anche con un altro (sebbene in questo caso usando un convertitore USB->RS232); ho provato con decoder sia acceso sia spento (ho letto qualcosa in un post): non mi viene altro in mente.
Dimentico qualcosa da fare? O devo aprire il decoder per indagare sulla porta seriale? Qualcuno ha riscontrato e risolto questo problema?

Guarda, non funziona neanche con il mio, non ho fatto verifiche approfondite ma sono sicuro che i mie collegamenti sono corretti.

In alternativa ti consiglio di usare una penna USB per trasferire i file da/a 7100, o, nel caso di film, l'FTP

Dimentico qualcosa da fare? O devo aprire il decoder per indagare sulla porta seriale? Qualcuno ha riscontrato e risolto questo problema?

La porta seriale del pc è settata "COM 1" come sul programma del decoder ?

Grazie a tutti.
Se riuscissi a far funzionare Channel Loader for HD con la RS232 sarebbe una bella comodità, quindi vorrei insistere nel cercare la soluzione. Infatti ho in parte risolto il problema!
Ho trovato in un altro forum le istruzioni d'uso del Channel Loader per i modelli della serie X100/X200 e le ho modificate/adattate all'HD7100TS, in particolare come impostare il STB.
Riporto qui un'estratto (avrei voluto allegare direttamente il file, ma non so come si faccia):

A. Activate Channel Data Upload in HD7100TS
1) Press the „Menu“ Button
2) Press the Arrow Button right 2-times (Impostazione canali)
3) Now Press the Arrow Button down 4-times (Gestione software)
4) Press OK
5) Press the Arrow Button down 3-times (Caricamento canali)
6) Then press OK. You should now see Ch-Up in the Display of the Receiver
7) Now you can load channel list in the Editor.
B. Load Channel List in Editor
1) Open the Editor
2) To activate the upload you have to press the 5th Button from the right
3) The Upload will start now: in the TV Screen you will see a Status Bar, in the Editor you will see a New Window now
4) After all channels are loaded from the Receiver, the Window will disappear and you can now start sorting the channels
5) After sorting the channels you can load the list back to the Receiver.
C. Load Channel List in Receiver
1) Switch your Receiver off by using the Power Switch on the back
2) In the Editor you have to press the 4th button from the right
3) A message box will appear and ask you if you want to overwrite the channel list in your Receiver
4) Press „ Si“ to confirm
5) New Window with Status Bar and Sound will come up
6) Now Switch your Receiver on
7) Channel list will be downloaded to the Receiver
8) You can now use your receiver with new channel list.

Adesso riesco a caricare da STB a PC, ma da PC a STB il trasferimento si blocca a metà.
Ho provato con la versione 2.0 di Channel Loader for HD, con la quale sembra che il trasferimento PC->STB vada a buon fine, ma in realtà resetta completamente l'STB (anche il trasferimento STB->PC non funziona).
Avete qualche altro suggerimento?

P.S. Le istruzioni che ho trovato sembrano essere di origine Vantage, ma di cui non trovo traccia nel loro sito!
Inoltre ho trovato questo link http://www.vantage-digital.com/files/sw240.zip a cui non si accede dal sito.
Sapete se c'è un FTP della Vantage dove trovare altra documentazione?

Quando dicevo che non funziona intendevo cose simili alle tue, cioè trasferimenti parziali etc etc; per la verità ho provato con vista (anche verificando i compatibility mode XP/win98 etc) e non con XP vero quindi non si sa mai che faccia differenza, ma non credo.

Secondo me il vantage ha problemi a livello di protocollo a parlare con il programma proprietario del PC; è però molto strano che i tedeschi non l'abbiano "notato"

Ho provato sia con XP Home sia con XP Professional!
Ho la sensazione che non dipenda dal sistema operativo, ma dallo stesso programma che forse è stato fatto su un firmware precedente.
Io ho caricato l'ultimo (02.41T-O).
Proverò ad inviare una email a Vantage...sperando che rispondano.
