https://usermanual.wiki/Document/SG2100.71186382/html
5. Impostare i satelliti come descritto sopra.

So a bit of explanation:
The diseqc 1.2 level has a command "Goto stored position Nn", or short: GotoNn. When that command is sent to a motor, the motor goes to the position that is stored in the motor as position number Nn.
This stored position is put in the motor by the factory, or by yourself (with command StoreNn).
Now the diseqc switches that respond to this diseqc 1.2 command 'GotoNn', have no stored position of course, but react to the command, by choosing port number Nn. Just as a diseqc 1.1 command for "input 3" of a 8/1 diseqc 1.1 switch chooses port number 3 of the switch, a diseqc 1.2 command for "Goto-Nn=03" of a 8/1 diseqc 1.2 switch chooses port number 3 of the switch.
So when you have a 8/1 diseqc 1.2 switch, you can use satellites that you defined under position numbers 1-8 under the motor commands.
In modern receivers, you can choose the 'position number' yourself in the menu. That will then be the port number for that satellite, on the switch. So that is what you have to do: assign a diseqc 1.2 'position number' to the satellite, and connect the cable of the LNB to that port of the switch.
In some older receivers, you cannot assign 'position numbers' yourself, but the receiver uses a built-in satellite table inside your receiver, coupled to a built-in table in the
[receiver] MOTOR. Usually it will be a table such as at the end of this document:
https://usermanual.wiki/Document/SG2100.71186382/html
In that case the procedure is the other way round: NOT find your satellite in your receiver, and assign a position number; BUT find (in the list) the position number that you want, look for the satellite name that is coupled to it in your receiver (and check if you have the right satellite and number), and then define the satellite that you want as that 'position number', instead of the satellite name in the list.
But if this is the case in your case, maybe ask for our extra help to solve this.
So in your case: 1. buy for instance an EMP Centauri switch, the 8/1, or 16/1, whichever you want.
2. Set it with the DIP-switches in the diseqc 1.2 mode.
3. Set your TV receiver to 'Tipo motore: diseqc 1.2'.
4. Check if your satellite installation screen offers the possibility of setting the diseqc 1.2 'position number'.
5. Set your satellites, as described above.
But please read all above carefully, and try to understand, as all will be easier for you and us, when you understand more of the background!
