30.5E - Arabsat 2B Ku Band

Hello everybody,

After asking in Thessaloniki/Greece about 30.5E - Arabsat 2B Ku Band i was surprised that this satellite seems to have lost much power. Years ago a 1.80m there could get all the frequencies. In March when i asked an owner of a Famaval 2.30m he could only get these frequencies:
12519h,12548h,12558h,12561h,12588v,12623v,12630v,12661v
The others were too weak.

How is the situation in Italia ?

By the way, 11765H is from Astra 5A at 31.5E

Edit: I see it's blindscan based. Strange that the other frequencies have not been found.

I see, 1.20m seems by far not enough for Roma. I wonder what big dish (>=1.80m) owners get further North.

Today I do a new scan , now with a receiver, not a pc card like skystar2, that seem have problem with channel that have low simbol rate.

ero curioso di vedere i tuoi dati per vedere la differenza di ricezione tra la mia parabola 1.2 mt e Lnb 0.7 e la tua da 1.5 mt e Lnb 0.3, vista la stessa location, a questo punto devo dire che sono molto soddisfatto dei miei risultati, all'appello mancano solo questi 2 trasponder 12583v-4220-3/4 12589v-4220-3/4 ma ce ne sono altri 2 che non sono nella tua lista, comunque calcolando le notevoli differenze in gioco, con questi dati sono sicuro dell'accuratezza del puntamento del mio sistema,e della sua notevole efficenza.

logicamente posso dimostrare anche io la veridicità dei dati forniti, ora per motivi tecnico pratici non allego screenshot, ma volendo posso anche postarli.

Un appunto in più sull'attendibilità delle barre di livello sui vari decoder, io Syria Satellite Channel, 12558H-3000-3/4, VPid:1025 APid:1045 PCR Pid:1025, io lo ricevo con intensità 66% qualità oscillante tra 49 e 57 %

Considera che alcuni transponders, trasmettendo feeds, non sono sempre attivi, comunque complimenti hai un ottimo impianto!

What channels are so interesting about this satellite and why?

MISTERSAT, this is the spirit of DX. Just of interest if you receive them or not, at which location and with which equipment. DXers don't care about the content. It can be crap but exciting if you've managed to receive it with the equipment you've got spending the less money as possible
