BBC (28E) - specifically in or around Parma?

It is a legal company, I don't understand this...

For streaming of various paid packages one has to have a subscription - so, you can't watch just anything...

I don't know if it is legal or not :eusa_think: anyway streaming is OT here... Sezioni varie SAT, Parabole, motori LNB :evil5:

I would like to read here only discussions about satellite reception :)

And what about those who can not receive it, wherever they are?

Isn't it collegiate to give them a way of getting it for free, if we can? :)

That was the only thing on my mind, when I gave the link - nothing more but nothing less... ;)

Don't worry buddy, you are not facing a court. Rules are rules, and to make this community/forum work we try to respect them, even though sometimes they may seem absurd.

Anyhow, as I told you, the future is on the internet...

Dura lex sed lex :D

Yes, absolutely, the future is on the web, because internet tv customer is more active, due to the fact that he can choose when to watch a program, while classical tv customer is passive, and when people is free to choose, choose liberty.
This is the only thing that could discourage me to buy an antenna motor, but I will buy it, because until the future doesn't arrive, is better to live the present as best we can. :D

Hmmm, active TV is a very old thing, pioneered in US and elsewhere, where the users, locally, co-create the programme...

But, internet is even more flexible... :)

Btw, it took no time at all for 400m of 140dB coax cable (with 80 gold F-connectors, for less than €95, with shipping!) from Germany to arrive (yesterday!)... :icon_bounce:

Wow! :)

OK, moved house and now my static 2-dish setup will include Gibertini 1.5m, one day, hopefully, with 6 LNBs (39/28/26/23.5/19/16E), plus T90 with another 10LNBs (13E - 30W). All 16 LNBs will be Quad.

They go into 4 x EMP Centauri 16in1 switches, which will send 4 cables into the house...

At the moment, we only have 28E on Gibertini, since we are missing a bit/adapter that goes at the end of the LNB arm, to be able to put the sliders for extra LNBs - it was simply not included in the package with the sliders (grrr!!!)... Anyone has any idea how to do this? Ehhh...

I have edited the post with links to photos on MediaFire... Can you see the photos now, please?

Thanx, buddy!

Must go to the roof and into solaio, to make them...

Please, have a look at the next post, with more details and a bit more thinking on my part...

(Mind, the pros didn't have a clue yesterday, all day long, so no wonder it took me a little while to figure it out, as ill as I am at the moment...)

Any pros here, please?

A few observations/questions...

First of all, the guys setting it all up had some surplus parts (Gibertini 150cm) - can this be OK?

Secondly, it seems the adapter should be made square (squeezed sideways to make it square) but it is bigger than the LNB arm etc.

The scheme that comes with the slider suggests it should be put inside the LNB arm...

Is this the only way to do it - remove the special LNB holder for my present LNB and set it all up on the sliders somehow?

And if that is the case - it seems a bit inadequate... Only one long screw + nut sideways. Is that OK?

Just look at the scheme, which comes with this part...

Anyone with any actual experience, please?

hey mate, not able to thelp unfortunately: the pictures you are posting are from a site that requires a subscrtiption to access data, so we don't actually see them (I don't know about you).

Ach, sorry, of course, I see them, since I posted there... I thought they changed their policy to allow viewing of threads without registration, wrongly, of course....

Sadly, this forum doesn't allow uploading photos, so I am a bit stuck...

They are now on MediaFire, so I will try editing the previous post...

Please, check it out again in a few minutes, if you are still here...

Now I can see them. Next time you can use postimage.org, they provide a link ready to be pasted into the forum form (so you can see a smal preview in the post without having to open the link).

OKI, thanx!

Anyone knows the best way to do this?

Is it possible to keep both the original LNB holder for the central position, as well as put the sliders that I bought, please?

Or must I remove the original LNB holder for the central position and put only the sliders? Then, the central position would have to be improvised a bit, since the screws are there, I presume, so it is not possible to put an LNB there directly but only indirectly?

(Ohhhh.... such a shame, if this is true...)

so, not sure I'm able to explain in You language, apologize for that. :(

Indeed, the solution whit slider and original holder is very DIY, I cant immagine without pieces in my hands.

About the support of the slider, can you put it inside the arm of your dish or is too big? Take a look the pic i'd attached yesterday, do you have the short one?

Thanx for trying, m8! Appreciated! :)

Sorry, I don't speak Italian; I speak a few languages (not only English) but not Italian, sadly.

As I said, it is too big, this adapter. You have a photo with it on top of the LNB arm, if you take a closer look.

I also described it carefully - only 2 holes function, out of all those holes, so only 1 screw would hold the two LNB sliders and 6 quad LNBs on it, with all the cables and everything. Is this OK?

Cheers! :)

Sorry never did.
I build five or six years ago an home made support and slide for multifeed C and KU band with "scrap" material.

I think You have to bend the support (til get right angle) and insert it in to the arm. No clues how You can keep the original holder and the slider.
