The German Football League (DFL) has agreed a multi-year rights deal with 21st Century Fox encompassing the US media company’s properties across North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Commencing from the 2015-16 season of the Bundesliga, the agreements will run for a five-year term until 2019-20 in Asia and the Americas, and a two-year term until 2016-17 in Europe. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

In total, the agreements cover 80 countries or territories on the four continents and will span three units of 21st Century Fox in the shape of Fox International Channels and pay-television broadcasters Fox Sports and Sky Italia.

Under the terms of the agreements, 21st Century Fox will be granted exclusive rights, subject to certain reserved rights, to the Bundesliga in the Americas and Asia - excluding India and the Oceania region - as well as Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.

The deal includes rights to all 306 Bundesliga matches each year, as well as the DFL-Supercup and the Bundesliga relegation playoffs.

In addition, 21st Century Fox will attain digital distribution rights, including the ability to make DFL content available through new and existing authenticated online television services, as well as on mobile devices in the contracted territories.

Christian Seifert, chief executive of the DFL, said: “These agreements confirm that the Bundesliga has legitimately evolved to become a top international sports media property. 21st Century Fox is a global-scale partner that provides German soccer opportunities for worldwide exposure and future growth.”


Non capisco se fra due anni vedremo la bundesliga su fox..

Con tutta la buona volontà non riesco a contare 21 partite...secondo me sono 17 dato che le quattro differite non le calcolo affatto. Siamo alle porte del 2014 e non posso credere che un telespettore interessato al risultato del Psg o del Man Utd aspetti la replica di Fox Sports...a mio avviso la differita ha senso solo se leggera di qualche minuto.

ma quelli sono i canali........che ci vuoi fare? il sabato pomeriggio quando ci sono gli anticipi della champion sarà sempre cosi....

Sì anche la Bundesliga passa a Fox, credo che per quel tempo le varie Sky non esisteranno più, ma ci sarà solo la 21th Fox a contrastare le varie beIN, Canalsat, ESPN etc. Ormai è necessario uniformare il marchio come le altre.

Per resto me lo immaginavo gia da subito che Sky si trasformerà in fox..

Quoto.
Devo dire che fra mille difficolta' (troppi diritti e pochi canali) secondo me fox sta continuando a fare il massimo che puo'. Per le due differite di premier c'e' poco da fare, sappiamo com'e' la situazione dei diritti.
Tutto sommato un terzo canale sarebbe davvero manna dal cielo, speriamo.

Può andare bene ma che almeno uniformino le 2 redazioni perchè non so se riesco a sorbirmi Ciarravano e Gregorio per altri 2 anni

Sicuramente quando ci sarà il cambio di brand (tra non molto ormai credo) anche tutti i giornalisti di sky (di tutti gli sport) passeranno sotto gestione Fox
 
avete visto quante differite nel prossimo weekend?ma chi si guarda una partita 5 ore dopo sapendo gia il risultato????
 
Io sto cominciando a pensare che tra due anni ci sarà solo Fox Sports. E non sto parlando solo di Sky, eh...

magari qualcuno che vuole passare la serata davanti alla Tv con un bel match di PL dopo aver avuto altro da fare durante la giornata...:eusa_whistle:
tanto non è che ci siano in giro i tabelloni sui palazzi con i risultati in tempo reale...se uno vuole, si riesce benissimo ad evitare spoiler...anche "per sempre" (cit.)...:lol: :eusa_whistle:

Si certo come no...tra l'anticipo di Serie A in diretta e la differita di due partite con poco appeal di PL la gente sceglierà sicuramente la PL, senza contare che sicuro al 101% i commentatori delle partite delle 16.00 daranno i risultati delle differite....dai è innegabile che stavolta FOX ha toppato e pure alla grande...dovevano trasmettere Twente-Ajax in diretta. La cosa buffa è che in Olanda la trasmetteranno in chiaro anche ai non abbonati FOX, mentre in Italia chi è abbonato a SKY e di conseguenza a FOX dovrà gustarsi due belle differite. Voto 10.
 
Vero che si puo non sapere il risultato delle differite,ma vero che quelli di fox ti dicono il risultato.
