That was with motor connected between receiver and switch, as 'normal'?
That is strange. In that case I assume that the motor starting current induces a voltage drop, which causes the diseqc switch to reset (and by doing that, switch to (default) port A). I've read about diseqc switches in the old days lacking a capacitor, that would counteract this switch-reset-effect, but I thought modern diseqc switches always have the capacitor nowadays.
Or maybe the dreambox has a power supply that reacts with a great voltage drop?
When the motor was connected between switch and LNB, the above could also happen; but the problem might also be caused by diseqc command order, or not-repeated diseqc commands.
Or the 'software block' that you write about would be a diseqc programming defect of the receiver?
I have my motor LNB on port 2 of a diseqc switch; never any problem.
(Though I have the motor and the switch in a parallel setup, not in a cascaded setup.)
