First of all

Sorry cause i'm writing in english but really i need some help

the poroplem is I made supscriptionto sky itally and i got the card and skybox
(amstrad)

I tried to tune the decoder but it always give me this massage (Assenza di segnale)

and i tried to search with motrize menu too ...still give me this massge
my dish is 1.8
My lnb is nokia
I can revceive all the satalite include hotbird and astra

so what is the problem? can any one help me

I'm liveing in egypt.
so is there special lnb to receive sky italy or what?
the decoder didn't give me any quality just feel by the transporder id and streem .

yes brother i knew that ..but the proplem i can receive the transponders like 12731 and 12713 all the wide beam transponders i can receive it with my other receiver(humax 5400) and the signal is very good

but the skybox i can't get any channle eaven the free channls

..so what do u think?

ok brother ican receive all this trannsponders with my normal receiver(humax 5400)
but when i connect skybox amstrad...i can't get any segnal and this is the problem
with normal reciver all ok with skybox no signal
so I asked you is there special lnb for skybox or any lnb universal can work?

No you don't need any special LNB to receive Sky. You have to tell us how did you connect Sky's receiver to your dish, if you connect that STB through the Humax the latter must be switched off, that is the reason why you can't receive any signal.

To see something from Sky Italy you should wait until some of the trasponder are transferred on HotBird 8.

Here is the way i connect the sky box

I took off the humax and put the skybox and took the lnb cable from the humax and put it in sky box then turn it on and go to menu then instlation then chose 1 lnb for eutelsat and saved it then went to make automaic search ..and waiting but nothing happed ..keep it saying no signal

OK the connection is good, but can you tell us what is the firmware version of your decoder ?? Can you try it with another dish ??

One of the problems you have is that you can't receive the home frequency that is needed by the decoder to receive the list of all channels in the bouquet.

Can you receive the signal of other channels in the Skybox and do you have a list of channels ??

and How can i Upgrade the firmware ...u said it's old.

Since I am a sky suscriber from Greece and the reception data for Egypt are similar, I don't think you can receive the Sky channels with a dish smaller than 1,60 m - in fact to receive ALL of the packet you need at least 2,40 m (I have 2,60)
Connect the skybox to a bigger antenna and the firmware upgrade will be automatic
