Rimuovere associazione tipo di file

Buongiorno a tutti.Come da titolo vorrei sapere come fare per rimuovere l'associazione che ho dato ad un file.
Erroneamente ho scelto di aprire un file con un determinato programma.Ora a me non interessa associare a questo file(che non mi serve più) un altro programma ma vorrei proprio eliminare l'associazione.Come devo fare? Ho windows 8.1
Sono andato su Pannello di controllo-----Programmi predefiniti----Associa un tipo di file o un protocollo a un programma----ma qui fa solo cambiare il programma di apertura e non rimuovere l'associazione.
Come posso risolvere?

Grazie Biscuo.Poi ho optato per questa soluzione:

Create any file anywhere, I just made a .txt on desktop.
Rename it to something.exe.
Now right click on any file of the extension whose association you want to remove, go to Properties.
Click the Change... button in the "Opens With" option.
It will show the current program and there will be "More Options" link, click it.
A list will come up, click the "Look for another app on PC" link at bottom.
Browse to your something.exe and associate the extension with it.
Hit Apply and OK.
Now just go delete that something.exe you created and
now your extension has no associated application.
 
E' la stessa soluzione del video, al posto di .exe è stata usata un'altra estensione!
Comunque, bene cosi. :)
 
Se riesci a fare la traduzione ti quello che hai riportato shark potrebbe interessare anche a qualcun'altro ;)
 
Vianello in pratica ho fatto così:
1) ho creato un file .txt.
2) Successivamente l'ho modificato denominadolo something.exe.
3) A quel punto sono andato sul file che erroneamente avevo associato ad un programma di apertura. Tasto destro mouse e ho scelto "apri con" e come programma di apertura ho scelto che quel file dovesse essere aperto con "something.exe".
4) Eliminare il file something.exe (vedi punto 2) ed il gioco è fatto.
