Sono molte le email che arrivano a SatGuidaTv.it da parte di abbonati a Sky che si sono visti spegnere da un giorno all'altro uno dei canali (per il quale avevano pagato, peraltro) che componeva il pacchetto intrattenimento: BBC Entertainment, la tv da esportazione della prestigiosa emittente britannica, che condensa i prodotti di maggior richiamo (uno fra tutti, Eastenders, che vanta molti fan anche in Italia), trasmessa in lingua inglese. E tutti, indistintamente, si sentono defraudati del diritto di continuare a vedere quello che avevano visto fino al 28 febbraio, che, per alcuni, era motivo principale per l'abbonamento alla pay tv. Senz'altro, nel computo degli abbonati totali a Sky Italia, gli estimatori di BBC Entertainment non sono la maggioranza, ma non per questo hanno meno diritti degli altri.
BBC Entertainment, dal canto suo, ha dichiarato di essere in trattativa con altri broadcaster per poter ripristinare, il prima possibile, le trasmissioni sul territorio Italiano.
Riportiamo in calce il comunicato rilasciato da BBC Worldwide Channels relativo alla cessazione delle trasmissioni su Sky
"Dear Viewers,
Unfortunately, SKY Italia has decided not to renew carriage of BBC Entertainment and, as such, the channel ceased transmission on the platform from 28th February 2010 at 24.00 hours.
We are currently talking to a number of operators about the opportunity to roll out our portfolio of BBC-branded channels in Italy and we aim to agree carriage for the new channels as quickly as possible so that viewers can resume enjoying BBC content. We hope to be able to announce news of channel launches in the near future.
