Problemi probabilmente irreversibili per l' AMC 14 - destinato sui 61.5° W - lanciato ieri.

COMUNICATO

Ci si augura che il satellite fuori controllo non rovini malamente su qualche centro abitato.
Gli USA interverranno allo stesso modo, come hanno fatto recentemente, abbattendo il loro satellite militare ?

The HOT BIRD™ 9 broadcast satellite will be launched in the third quarter of 2008 and positioned at the Group's premium video neighbourhood at 13 degrees East.

Designed to cover all 102 Ku-band transponders at the HOT BIRD™ neighbourhood, it will be able to substitute any transponder on any other HOT BIRD™ satellite. Its broad footprint and high emission power will enable digital and new HDTV channels as well as interactive services to be received by small DTH antennas and cable and community networks throughout Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.



Dovrebbe sostituire HOT BIRD 6 ,in realtà con i 102 TP è in grado di fare da Backup per HOT BIRD 6-7A-8

Nel 2009 verrà lanciato HOT BIRD 10 ,alla fine rimarranno i 3 più nuovi

The HOT BIRD™ 10 broadcast satellite will be launched in first quarter 2009 and positioned at the Group’s 13 degrees East location. Following HOT BIRD™ 8 and 9, it is the third high-power broadcast satellite based on Astrium’s Eurostar E3000 platform that will be located at Eutelsat’s premium video neighbourhood for cable and satellite broadcasting.

All services currently on Thor II will be moved to THOR 5, starting 15th April 2008 and ending by the morning
on the 25th of April.
Thor 5 footprint maps can be found on our website www.telenorsbc.com .
Plan for moving transponder are as follows:
Transponder 3, 8, 9, 11 and 15
Services down; 15th of April at 00:01 UTC
Services back; 15th of April at 04:30 UTC
Transponder 1, 4, 5 and 14
Services down; 18th of April at 00:01 UTC
Services back; 18th of April at 04:30 UTC
Transponder 2, 6, 7, 10 and 13
Services down; 22nd of April at 00:01 UTC
Services back; 22nd of April at 04:30 UTC
Transponder 12 (transponder 11 down for 30 min for XPOL measurements)
Services down; 25th of April at 00 :01 UTC
Services back; 25th of April at 04:30 UTC
Technical information for transition
Services on Thor II that will continue on THOR 5 after the transition will not have to do any changes. THOR 5 – T1
beam has the same downlink frequency and polarization as current services running on Thor II today.
Change of FEC*:
Transponder 9 – FEC changed to 3/4
Transponder 14 – FEC changed to 3/4
Transponder 15 – FEC changed to 3/4

Il lancio di Amos 3, previsto per stamattina, è stato rinviato (forse a lunedì 28 p.v.) per motivi tecnici.
 
Sirius 2 è stato rinominato Astra 5A ed occupa ora la posizione dei 31.5° E.
Considerato che è stato lanciato oltre 10 anni fa non credo possa avere una lunga vita.
 
IL prossimo 23 maggio è programmato il lancio del Turksat 3A
2 dei 3 footprint sono favorevoli all' Italia.
Gli appassionati di calcio conoscono bene i satelliti turchi dato che da molti anni, a rotazione, trasmettono il calcio italiano in chiaro.

si sa per caso qualche dettaglio in più: quali saranno le frequenze che andranno ad occupare questo sat nei footprint per noi favorevoli?
 
Considerando che il 3A sostituirà l' 1C, si può azzardare che il nuovo satellite coprirà la banda bassa, rispettando le attuali frequenze ed i beam relativi.
