Here is a comment from a Danish ISF calibrator who attended the Münich show last week and saw the Pioneer 8G's:
"First off, they are definitely worth the wait!
The setup at the Münich show wasn't optimal. The calibration etc. But good enough to get an impression of the screens.
Impressed by the fact that the 60" model had the same picture quality as the smaller models. Not the case with the 7G's.
The difference in contrast levels between Elite and non-Elite - not noticeable.
Black is black. And without compromising on shadow detail. Actually, the shadow detail has improved a lot.
When comparing the new 1080p models with the FHD1, the "FHD1 was a joke".
Pioneer has succeeded in setting a new standard in what we can expect from a flat screen TV.
Even the new Panasonic line (which is really good) look "boring" compared to the 8G's.
And when looking at any of the new LCD's after the 8G's there was no contest at all! (they all looked really bad compared to the 8G's).
With the new 8G's it isn't relevant to talk about resolution anymore or contrast or color spectrum. These new displays are at a 100%.
Color precision, only time will tell (when we get more in-depth reviews).
The same goes for signal processing, scaling and reflection in the glass and how well they can be calibrated.
All the numbers and specifications we normally compare is irrelevant to discuss with the 8G's. We have to start looking at other things now."

Se noi non ci facciamo sentire troppo sul foro sarà forse perchè siamo troppo impegnati a goderci le stupende immagini dei nostri Panasonic, probabilmente qualcun'altro deve staccare spesso per non affaticare troppo la vista

sara' una battaglia durissima, voi sicuramente come numero di forze siete superiori.....noi tuttavia possiamo vantare una maggiore specializzazione e professionalita'
poi vedo che siete indietro, combattete ancora con tecniche militari antiche e superate, noi operiamo in cellule, ben distinte parallele ed indipendenti tra loro, non abbiamo un unico punto centrale di comando, che rappresenta quindi un anello debole.

Cmq da quel che si sente in giro, il nuovo 428 XD sarà al lancio sui 2.700 €. Il Pana 42-700 si trova tranquilamente sui 1.400 - 1.450 €. Uno se ne compra praticamente due Quindi direi che nn c'è 1 vera competizione tra i 2 marchi. Pio è l'eccellenza assoluta (vedremo poi coi ns. occhi ) , Pana è l'eccellenza nella sua fascia di prezzo .... e direi anche qualcosa in +
